ART is an evidenced based therapy that was developed in 2008 by a therapist in Connecticut, Laney Rosenzweig, LMFT. The links below will give you some information about ART. The premise is that when we update the visual images that are associated with troubling memories, we decrease our emotional reaction to it. The clients do not have to share anything about the memory unless there is something they feel they would like to share. We have had great success in as little as one session.

With a true gift for holding space during difficult moments, I am able to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their emotions and experiences. I welcome individuals ages 16 and older to overcome getting out of that funk, feeling defeated, or like you’re hitting a brick wall.
I believe in providing warm, authentic, and compassionate counseling through holistic and integrative practices tailored uniquely to each of my clients. I am able to therapeutically treat a wide range of concerns using a strengths-based approach that fosters a safe place for you to heal at your own pace.
